Our Women Across Boundaries exhibit could not be going any better. The work looks beautiful in the space and all of our events have been successes. I just wish all my close friends and family back in the U.S. could see this show in person.
On Friday, we had artist talks in English for the artist Ashley Roberts and myself.
This video shows most of my talk (my friend’s SIM card filled up before we could finish.) Ashley asked some very tough questions about my process and approach to these works, so please enjoy. It’s more than I could ever divulge on this blog.
Also, check out some pictures of the reception back in July and some pictures of my work hanging in the space!
Our next and last event will be a poetry reading featuring poems about and by women in both English and German. I’ll be reading some of my favorites from Eavan Boland, Mary Oliver, and Adrienne Rich. If you are anywhere near the neighborhood, please join us! 🙂
Hi Heather,
I so enjoy getting your emails about what is going on in your life. Granted, while at yoga, we didn’t get to “talk” that much but I felt I knew you somewhat and have enjoyed getting to know more about you and your work! Loved the interview. The colors in your “100 day” work are beautiful! Thanks, so much, for being willing to keep me on your email list.
One last comment… I do miss your sketches. Loved your nature items. Loved when you were working on the library mural. Even miss the marbles! 😉 Take care!!

Hi Chris,
Thank you so much for your continued interest in my work. My work has changed a lot over time. I still do nature studies now and then but keep them hidden in sketchbooks. But I’m working on some more overtly nature-inspired paintings right now. That gives me an idea of what I should share in my next post. 🙂
Best,
Heather
