It has been way too long since my last post! A lot is happening with my work these days.
I’ve reached a new level of comfort with my abstractions. I’m focused on creating a complex visual language of my own. I never thought embracing abstraction could feel so natural, but here I am.
My most recent works, like many before them, are rooted in nature. But this time, I have the “mysterious deep” on my mind. I’ve been rereading Moby Dick and, as usually happens, the descriptions and atmosphere are seeping into my work.
I’m also getting better at conveying many layers of feeling in my work – tranquility, ominousness, playfulness and whimsy to name a few.

The pieces below are just from today and yesterday. Can you see the evolution?
I have recently listed all of the pieces in this post in my Etsy shop.
Next, I plan to translate these into larger paintings like this experimental piece:
Really beautiful work.
I really love these. And, of course, I love Moby Dick. I need to read it again.
